Test of Faith +

Screening:
Duration: 90 mins   Genre: All Programming
Have we arrived on this planet by accident? Or do our lives have some inbuilt purpose? For centuries, religion mapped a pathway to truth, but that was before science challenged God. Today, many people are caught in a divide, distrustful of science, or religion, or both. For religious believers, science can seem to threaten God's existence. For atheism, its time to awake from religions dream. But some scientists believe that God can be found in both the cathedral and the lab. So can they do this without compromising their science or the beliefs? Can God survive in the age of the quark and the gluon. Or is faith now being tested to breaking point. Talking to leading scientist-believers, we probe the issues at the heart of this debate. Has science really destroyed God? Or is the God question being redefined in new ways by science? Does the possibility of a Creator remain an ineradicable challenge?

Thoroughly and comprehensively thought out and provoking, needs more than one viewing to catch all that is being cast into our minds. Challenging to the point some may find it hard to watch all because as believers we usually are required not to think too much about the questions proposed. For modern creatures of this new century we need more of this style of programming to stimulate our grey God given matter. RTD.
