Katrina's Children +

Screening:
Duration: 90 mins   Genre: All Programming
A documentary feature about nineteen children from different neighbourhoods of New Orleans. Told entirely from the children's point of view, the film explores the impact of Hurricane Katrina on their lives by observing their play and hearing their stories. Animations of the children's own artwork magically bring to life their most intimate conflicts and memories. Aching with sadness, yet grounded in hope, Katrina's Children is ultimately a celebration of children's extraordinary resilience and a tribute to New Orleans' unique and indomitable spirit. By focusing exclusively on children's experiences, Katrina's Children humanizes this epic storm and seeks to understand the tragic ramifications in a small personal way.

This was a brilliantly put together thought provoking real life drama. The kids were honest and graphical, simplistic but deep and inspiring !
